Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IF YOU WANT TO . . .

YOU WANT TO JOIN THE CONGREGATION

Any one interested in membership at St. Paul’s should attend a New Member Orientation. During this three hour orientation, we cover the basics of what it means to be a Christian, some history and teaching of the Lutheran Church, and what it means to be a part of St. Paul’s. Orientations are offered several times each year, usually on Sunday afternoons. After attending the orientation, you can make a decision about joining the congregation. Please call office at 895-3366 for the dates of the next New Member Orientation.

YOU WANT TO GET MARRIED

The first step is to call the church office to see if the date you want to get married is clear on the church calendar and the pastor's calendar. You may do so up to a year in advance. If the date is available, we will send you the Wedding Packet, which includes important guidelines for planning your wedding at the Church. Because of the importance of being a part of a Christian community, couples must worship regularly and actively participate in the life of the church during the months of preparation. Call the church office at 895-3366 if you want more information.

YOU WANT TO DISCUSS BAPTISM

Baptism marks entry into the Body of Christ and is an important step in the life of every Christian. Baptism at St. Paul’s is celebrated at the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. Adults who wish to discuss baptism should speak with the pastor to discuss baptism and church membership. Parents who are active members wanting to inquire about baptism should call the church office at 895-3366 and request a baptism packet.

YOU WANT TO USE THE CHURCH BUILDING

Members who wish to use the church building for a church activity, please call the church office and reserve a room by placing the event on the church calendar. Members of the congregation who wish to use the building for a family event or Community Groups who want to use the building for community meetings may do so if the space is available. Priority usage always goes to church ministries. Contact the office at 895-3366 to request a Facility Use Form.
